    Books were donated by sponsors and former mission team members to The School for the Deaf


    "Now to him who is able to do immeasurably more than all we ask or imagine, according to his power that is at work within us, to him be the glory in the church and in Christ Jesus throughout all generations, for ever and ever! Amen!" Eph. 3:20-21

    Greetings to you all! We are grateful to the Lord to have some encouraging updates for you this month. 

    *School started in Liberia in the past month, and students will continue to register until the end of March. At this time, there are 212 students at Daniel Hoover and 50 at The School for the Deaf.

    *ACFI leaders have been so grateful for the outpouring of support by donors throughout the ebola crisis. The containers of food, medical supplies and sanitation supplies have allowed ACFI to take such good care of the students, staff and community members to protect them from the virus, that ACFI has now gained more local support for the mission schools. 

    *More families from the community surrounding Daniel Hoover Village Mission School are now sending their children to the school. Some are commuters and some live on campus while school is in session. This is ideal as it allows ACFI to charge affordable fees for families who are able to pay for school and allows them to help more children in need. It is very encouraging to see that over time, the involvement of sponsors and mission teams is helping this indigenous church planting ministry grow in their ability to meet the needs of their communities. As ACFI is able to pair sponsorship donations and income from school fees, they are able to provide better care and education for the children.


    The fence at The School for the Deaf is nearing completion


    *6 deaf students from the community near The Oscar and Viola Stewart School for the Deaf are registered for school. 

    *The fence at The Deaf School is nearing completion. A cement coating is being laid over the bricks and the steel entrance door is still needed. However, the fence is already providing much needed protection.

    *ACFI has hired several new teachers and a new principal for Daniel Hoover. There are 22 staff members and 22 teachers at Daniel Hoover now and 7 teachers and 4 staff members at The Deaf School at this time.

    *While the provisions given during the ebola outbreak have been wonderful, it's still important to recognize the trauma that the children and adults have had to endure. Many of them have lost family or 




    community members to the disease, and it has been a very frightening 6 months for all. Please pray for ACFI caretakers as they try to help the children heal and transition to life now that the outbreak seems to be largely contained. There was one new case reported about a week ago.

    *The container of books, school supplies and food is still being filled in Lancaster, SC. The goal now is to finish filling it and ship it sometime in April. Thank you to all who have sent sponsorship packages for their sponsored children. If you missed last month's letter and would still like to send your package, please send it within the next week to: ACFI, 303 N. Main St., Lancaster, SC 29720.

    Thank you so much for partnering with us to support the African ministry of ACFI as they minister to the people of West Africa as well as provide schooling and housing for children in their area. It is exciting to see God using them to reach out with God’s love in their own communities!
