Here we are in June! Most of the students of Daniel Hoover Childrens's Village are with family members for summer vacation, and Liberia finds itself in yet another rainy season. Rainy Season in Liberia isn't like "April showers bring May flowers", it is several months of torrential downpours that destroy roadways and structures. The current rains have brought to our attention a desperate need at the Childrens Village. Since its opening in 1998, there have been no major structural repairs made at the school. Currently, all 6 children's dormatories have badly leaking roofs, and the school building and cafeteria are also in need of critical refurbishments. Pastor Ed Kofi has met with a construction engineer who estimates the total cost to equal $35,000. Praise God, ACFI has a wonderful donor who will match every dollar donated up to $5,000!
Pastor Kofi is currently in Liberia tirelessly training pastors, church planting and working to get Liberia Christian College set for its reopening in July.
