Some children at the Daniel Hoover Village Mission School and the Mission for Deaf Children will likely not have a forever family other than through adoption. The children are generally between 4 and 16 years of age and have been admitted by their birth parents or relatives. Some children have been in the care of ACFI for several years.
Christian Adoption Services prepares and guides families through their adoptions of children from these two schools. Once a child is matched with a family, s/he is placed in foster care until the adoption is finalized. Applicants for adoption should be at least 25 years of age while the maximum age is flexible. Married couples and singles (on a case by case basis) are eligible to adopt. There is no length of marriage requirement. The maximum number of children in the home is determined on a case by case basis. Applicants must be believers in the basic Christian tenets as listed in the Apotles' Creed. Estimated fees and expenses range from $14,000 to $19,000 dollars (excludes home study fees). For more information contact Christian Adoption Services at firstname.lastname@example.org or at 704-847-0038.
At the moment, a moratorium has been put in place on adoptions in Liberia. CAS will resume taking applications once it has been lifted.
